The Highland Golf Club opened for play in 2006. The course was designed by Bill Ward.
The Highlands Golf Club has Pendleton County's only 18-hole golf course. The course was designed to take advantage of the natural contours of a high mountain valley, the result is a scenic and challenging championship course.
The Highland's Golf Club is a par-71 challenge that plays to 6,796 yards from the longest tees. The course plays shorter than the yardage 6,796 yds. because of elevated tees and fairways that slope downward to the greens.

Why is no one talking about this course??? I drove 200 miles to play, and it was HEAVEN!!!!! I have played both the Homestead AND the Greenbriar for over $250 each; and this one beats them both by miles!!!! Put this course on your MUST PLAY BEFORE YOU DIE list. Good, scenic layout that will challenge your entire golf game. The picture above is of hole # 10; a par-4. For less than $35 for greens fee with cart!!! Located about an hour west of Harrisonburg, Va on Rte 33-- turn at the big billboard.
